Marie-Sarah Oria is based in the South of France, born in Perpignan in 1993. Her surrealist work is driven by a profound quest for meaning.

As a Catalan artist, she has been influenced by Salvador Dali, but she manages to transcend this influence and create her own unique aesthetic, imbued with sensitivity and depth. It was at the age of 18, while studying at the Ateliers de Sèvres in Paris, that she caught the attention of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who saw in her a future Cindy Sherman, Joseph Beuys, or Mario Merz. He followed her for years, serving as a mentor and advisor. Her work is like a dive into the abyss of the soul, revealing pulsating hearts beating to the rhythm of contemporary realities.

Going beyond reality to express her ideas, she organizes the visual elements of her compositions in a way that creates tensions and imbalances reflecting states of mind or situations. Through this, she creates multiple layers of interpretation that transcend visible reality.
